Reflection-Annoying ways people use sources

Just like in the article how the author provides examples on most commonly quotation errors, how to fix them and good and bad ones the author is doing his best job on making connections to the errors so us students can learn and remember them better. For me the article was very long to get through but once I started to look more in depth of what Stedman was trying to get across it became and easier read because I realized that what he was talking about was exactly what I was doing wrong sometimes and now when I’m confused I can easily go back to this article to know how to make it better and so I don’t get points taken off for such easy mistakes. Another reason this article became more interesting to me is because when he connects the mistakes and excuses us students use to funny topics/sentences. For me when he talks about “I swear I did some research” right away I knew that I would be able to connect myself to this just because of the name of the excuse/mistake us students use. For me I related to “I swear I did some research” well because I remember writing papers back in high school and doing that exact thing and my teacher would always dock me points, and I never understood until I read this article. This one I remember I took a quote and I split it up and put my own words in between so my teacher would think I really tried on the paper but in reality I was doing it the day before it was due because I was to busy hanging out with friends and enjoying the nice weather because I was sick of staying inside during the winter, and doing nothing but play video games with friends, watch Netflix, and here and there go bowling or go to the theaters to watch a movie
