Making Connections:

In the article the author talks about filters. The word filter can having many meanings like coffee filter, photo filter, and people can say filter your language. When someone says “filter” the first thing that comes to mind is a snap chat filter because today snap chat is a main way of communicating with friends and many people will use filters on them selves and send it to friends while messaging each other. Not only do I use filters on photos of myself to enhance it and make it how I want it, but I use filters on photos of anything. Sometimes to mess around and see what cool things you can do to photos nowadays, but also to make it creative and to add my own touch to the photo. Another connection is how almost everything is filtered. From photos we see on Instagram to the designs of the clothes your wearing right now. When you think about it every design is filtered to make it better and more unique, so customers will buy it and wear it themselves. Or if we talk about food, think about a sandwich and how almost every place will have their own wrappers to show their logo of the place but also what kind a sandwich it is. And how McDonald’s uses boxes for some and a wrapper for others and how Chick-fil-a uses a paper bag like wrapper with tin on the inside to keep the sandwich warm and for the deluxe they use a box.
