Final Project W.3 P.1

For this week we are supposed to read three of our classmates blog post and write a short review on each of them. The first blog post I read was by
Maisalla Samike and it was about another blog that goes over news and media specifically for the black community and it was written by Tom Joyner. Samike then talks about Joyner homepage and how there is different categories and even a link to his live show, and social media accounts. The blog then goes on talking about the main goal of the blog and how it is to bring the African-American community by informing, entertaining, and empowering.

The next blog post I read was by Dani and it was about police ride alongs. In the beginning Dani talks about how there is more to ride alongs then just getting in the squad car and riding around, and how there is more to it like knowing the laws and being able to enforce them and to keep the people safe. Dani then explains
the squad car itself and how it is the same as a normal car they just have the red white and blue lights and how they put their laptops right next to them, and how “most suspects, gang bangers and anyone that is in a holding cell they do not like cops. They call cops pigs”. Dani then talks about suspects and when they are in the back of the squad car how they normally don’t want to sit still and how some try to break out of the handcuffs and then try to get out of the car itself.

The third blog post I read was by Kayelynn and it was about when the Century High School Band traveled to Florida. Right away Kayelynn explains who went and how on November 18 is they day they left and how they had the parents check all the students bags to make sure no one brought anything that they weren’t allowed to. She then goes on and talks about how they had five buses and how on the bus they would do homework, watch movies and talk to their friends, and how it took twenty-seven hours to get there. On November 19th they got to Clearwater, Florida around 6p.m. Over the next couple days they went to the beach, and four main parks including Epcot, Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, and Magic Kingdom.
