Final Project W.5 P.1

For the last week I’m looking at fashion shows. On the website Harper Bazaar in the section “Fashion” it has fashion trends for all the seasons. After looking through a couple of the fashion shows pictures of outfits, I can personally say that I never seen any of these outfits worn by an average American. The outfits are outfits that you would think of when its comes to high end fashion, or worn by celebrities when going to one of their events. It almost seems like these fashions show outfits are just idea for celebrities for their events not for the average Americans. In today’s society these fashion shows consists of expensive clothing, and is really only affordable by the high class citizens. Yes, anybody can buy the outfit but could they really afford it and not making a dent to their monthly income. Now these outfits can be copycatted by cheaper brands and more affordable by the average American. Their is many you tubers that will even show you where to purchase the cheaper clothing and how to make the clothing look the exact same as close as it can. For me, in high school you see a lot people try and fit in by buying one or two expensive outfits but then wearing them every week and trying to make it look like they have a lot of money. To me I never really cared that much after middle school if my clothes were from Nike or the store brand, Because in reality the clothes are literally just the same with the logo on the front. When I was in middle school I did only really want to get name-brand clothing, but that was because in elementary school I never focused my closing on name brands because I knew I would outgrow it by next year and it was just a waste of money. And even when I did get into middle school I still had this door brand clothing because I’ll be able to get to three pairs of pants for the price of one branded pair pants.
